Incentives

 

• 5 Day Fast Track Permitting: No MaxA formal process of a 5 day fast track building permit program has been created for eligible Economic Development projects.
   

• ADA or Life Safety Building Retrofit Rebate: Up to $25,000
  Qualified Targeted Industries (QTI) eligible companies are provided a rebate of no more than $25,000 towards the retrofitting of a newly purchased building for the purpose of upgrading the facility to meet current building codes for ADA or Life safety standards. Company may not sell the building for 5 years or will be obligated to reimburse the City in a pro-rated manner for every year earlier.
   

• Brownfield Building Permit Fee Waiver: No Max
  Under the City’s adopted Brownfield Resolution, the City will waive Building Review and Building Permit Fee’s for eligible companies located within the Kissimmee designated Brownfield Area.
   

• Demolition Services Incentive (Blight Removal): No Max
  Incentive is meant to encourage the development of new facilities along major City corridors and preferred areas of redevelopment. Property must be free of any hazardous materials. If demolition is offered as an incentive, the demolition will not occur until permit for new construction has been issued. Construction must also begin within 3 months of the conclusion of the demolition. If demolition occurs as Blight Removal, property owner must agree to a voluntary special assessment for the reimbursement of demolition costs if the site is not redeveloped or sold within a period of 3 years. 25% of the demolition costs will be assessed on an annual basis for the following 4 consecutive years.
   

• Kissimmee Mobility Fee Exemption: No Max
  QTI eligible companies are exempt from City of Kissimmee Mobility Fees (a.k.a. Transportation Impact Fees).
   

• Kissimmee Utility Authority Commercial Line Extension Fee Waiver: Up to $10,000
  Local and State QTI companies or projects are eligible for this commercial line extension fee waiver. 
   

• Toho Water Authority 20% Water Impact Fee Credit: No Max
  Program was designed to encourage new developments or building renovations to apply water conservation features. Eligible applicants can earn 20% credit on their water impact fees
   

• Toho Water Authority 10 Year Financing of Water & Sewer Impact Fees: No Max
  This program was designed to help offset new start-up business costs. 20- year financing may soon also be an option for applicants.
